Formerly known as Hunter's Green, the Freebird Motor Lodge has shed its past and hit the gas. Reimagined as a vintage-inspired escape on the edge of Cape Cod, this roadside motel doesn’t play by the rules—and it doesn’t ask you to, either. Here, you’re free to wander, free to stay, free to live a little louder.

A nod to the iconic Lynyrd Skynyrd anthem, Freebird is more than a name—it’s a way of being. Designed for the dreamers, drifters, and rock ‘n roll romantics, our lodge brings together retro soul and modern comfort in a way that feels both familiar and fresh.

The guest rooms break with Cape tradition in the best possible way. Inspired by vintage camper vans and road-trip nostalgia, each room features bold graphic prints, punchy colors, and design details that channel the open road. It’s part motel, part time machine, and all good vibes.

Our signature indoor-outdoor pool is housed in a converted garage, because—why not? Fire pits crackle as the sun sets, cornhole courts invite some friendly competition, and our on-site food truck, The Dirty Birdie, serves up crave-worthy flatbread pizzas and craft cocktails that taste like freedom.
